Vibrant piece, 'We Vogue', is a unique oil painting depicting three dancers voguing by Award winning UK female Artist Denisa Mansfield. A symbolic reflection of expression through dance, depicting a surreal figurative scene of three statuesque dancers vogueing. The dance form characterized by photographic-style poses integrated with angular, linear and rigid movements was a highly stylized form of dance. Vogueing started in the late 1980s, but its roots can be traced back to Harlem's drag ballroom competitions as early as the 1920s.
